A Massachusetts limited power of attorney form is mainly used when hiring a real estate attorney for property transactions but can be used for any desired purpose. The document allows individuals to authorize an agent to handle a specific task or financial decision on their behalf. Once engaged, the agent is lawfully required to act in the principal’s best interests.

The form can become void in the following ways:

  • At the time the action, decision, or event is finished
  • At a stated time
  • Death of the principal
  • By authorizing a revocation form
Signing Requirements – Notary public and/or two witnesses recommended.
