An Ohio living will is a legal document declaring a patient’s wishes regarding the use of or withholding of life-sustaining treatment. The declaration applies when the patient is either terminally ill or permanently unconscious. Any medical practitioner who receives a living will from a patient must add it to the patient’s medical records and comply with all of its stipulations.
