An Idaho general power of attorney allows for a person to act for another in any type of monetary-related decision but does not remain valid in the event the principal should become in an unstable state of mind where he or she can no longer think for themselves. The general power of attorney does not provide the authority to make healthcare decisions for the principal and a healthcare power of attorney should be completed for this purpose.
