A Kansas minor (child) power of attorney form is a legal document that establishes a temporary guardianship arrangement for a minor. The minor’s parent(s) can complete this form if they will be out of the country or in some way indisposed and unable to properly care for their child. This form is only valid if the consent of all individuals who have legal custody of the child is provided. This type of power of attorney can only be in effect for one year; however, if the parent is on active duty, the power of attorney may exist for the duration of their active duty plus 30 days.

Laws
